To install make sure SageTV is shut down (service as well if applicable).Download and install SageMC16x9 Version 6.xFull Install Package. To correct, I had to go into the Sage.properties file (C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV) and make sure the following is set (if this does not show in the Sage.properties file add manually): always_use_dshow_player=trueĢ. After testing out my media I find that my 1080p mkvs don’t play back properly. Once installed, I would suggest you test out to make sure your media is playing properly before moving on.ġa. Download and install latest beta of SageTV, currently V6.5.18 RC. ALSO, THESE STEPS ARE FOR A CLEAN REINSTALL ONLY).ġ. Since I did full re installs of SageTV I thought it would make sense to document this as well as setting up SMW ( PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT ALL THESE INSTALLS ARE BETAS, SO PLEASE BACK UP YOUR SAGETV FOLDER. I have to give a big thanks to the members over at the SageTV forums who were extremely helpful in getting this set up. Unfortunately to get all the betas up and running requires too many steps IMO and made it very difficult for me to troubleshoot when I ran into issues installing SMW (took me several tries of clean re installs to get working correctly). On my desktop PC I was not running the latest betas. One caveat though, to use SWM you need to be running the latest betas of SageTV/SageMC as well as install a few additions such as either BMT or Phoenix API. SWM provides an alternative UI for navigating through your video collection in SageMC (PluckyHD may be working on porting SMW over to the default SageTV stv).
